Today is officially International Recruiters' Day. To celebrate our profession and all the amazing recruiters out there, here are 7 signs you're at the top of your recruitment game!
1. Always on the Phone
Your mobile is hooked to your ear and you're constantly on the phone. It's ringing off the hook with talent and clients needing to speak to you urgently. This is the first sign that you're an awesome recruiter!
2. Nothing is Impossible
You know even the toughest jobs are fillable and you even get excited when you get a tough job request. You thrive at the challenge as this is your time to show your clients just how good you are! But you're also good enough to know that this job will take longer to fill so you make sure you get the right terms agreed upfront.
3. Dress to Impress
You're confident and your confidence exudes from the clothes you wear. An exceptional new outfit woos both candidates and clients alike. Feeling good in what you wear will always make you stand out for the right reasons.
4. Lunch Anyone?
You are the go to person for recommendations for the best bars and restaurants in town. As you're out socialising at all the very best places, meeting new clients and candidates all the time, no one else knows the local eateries and wineries like you do.
5. You Love What You Do
One of the biggest signs that you're a recruiter at the top of your game is loving what you do. As Steve Jobs said:
'Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.'
6. Your Placement Dance
Hands down, your buzz and excitement for the next offer to be accepted is infectious. You know that you're only as good as your last placement so you celebrate every one as they should be celebrated. Whether that's a placement dance, a competitive jab at your peers, or a run around the office high fiving... you deserve it and you quite rightly should celebrate it!
7. A Top Bloke or Gal
You get to the stage where everyone knows what you do and trusts you to deliver. So, you literally get recommended left, right, and centre. It feels great, and instead of constantly running uphill every day, opportunities keep presenting themselves to you. People say you're getting lucky but you know your success is the result of a lot of hard work. You wouldn't be achieving so highly if you weren't a top guy or gal.
If the above list describes you, well done! Revel and enjoy your success. After all, it is you that makes recruitment look so easy. But we all know how hard it really is and we know too that you are just so darn good at it.
